Naomi Ost Announces Summer Cafe Tour of Community Spaces Across the UK

This summer, Naomi Ost is heading out on a DIY tour, and she’s doing things a little differently.

Rather than the usual venue circuit, Naomi is touring women- and queer-owned cafes, bookshops and community spaces across the UK, with pop-up performances planned in Brighton, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol.

The idea is simple: short, intimate pop-up sets in independent, community spaces - places built with love, that don't always host live music but are open to something a little different. 

Alongside each performance, Naomi is sitting down with the people behind each space to hear the story of how it started and what it means to its community, sharing those conversations on her Instagram as she travels.

It's a tour built around a celebration of connection and of the passionate people creating beautiful real-world spaces that make that possible. 

"It’s a kind of quest," says Naomi. "We are living in such a disconnected time. We're disconnected from each other, from our bodies, from nature, and I think, as a result, people are lonely. I definitely am. We spend so much time in the technology universe instead of the reality we were designed for. So this tour is an antidote to all of that - a quest for connection, and inspiration, and joy. Pursuing your dreams is scary, but it’s also contagious. I want to use this tour to meet incredible women who are cultivating spaces where we can connect, be ourselves and be reminded of how much joy there is to experience out in the world.” 

The tour follows a big year for Naomi, whose debut EP, roll with the punches landed her a Featured Artist spot on BBC Introducing Kent.
