Naomi Ost single selected as Featured Artist on BBC Introducing Kent

Kent-based singer-songwriter Naomi Ost released her debut EP roll with the punches on 26 November, and launched it with sold-out show at Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney on 2 December.

Her single g&t - an off-kilter pop song about the joys and necessities of escapism - was the first song uploaded by Naomi to BBC Introducing. It was immediately chosen as record of the week on BBC Introducing Kent.

With the full EP now out in the world, BBC Introducing Kent chose Naomi as their Featured Artist.

In an interview with the show’s producer Marty, recorded backstage at Naomi’s EP launch, Naomi said “It feels so great to have these songs out in the world. I am constantly writing songs - they tend to pour out of me - and a lot of them I discard. But these are the ones I really felt needed to be out there in the world, saying things I needed to get off my chest.”

Marty described the EP as “absolutely incredible tracks all round”, adding “my personal favourite is Hey Molly”.

Thanks to the BBC Introducing team for their support, and to Marty for coming down to the show.

Stream roll with the punches now wherever you get your music.
