ADANNAY

ADANNAY makes music to bring the feels.

Born and raised in South London, British-Caribbean singer-songwriter ADANNAY weaves stories of queer Black joy and resistance into bops that make you think, smile and dance. Layering Caribbean folk with elements of Gospel, alt pop and soul in playful and innovative ways, ADANNAY’s sound is reminiscent of artists like Kojey Radical, Little Simz and Emily King while being totally their own.

Following the release of their debut EP “Her Favourite Song” in 2018, ADANNAY won Cross The Tracks’ New Talent competition. They went on to perform at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and 110 Above, and received support from BBC Introducing for their single “Off My Mind”.

A prolific collaborator, ADANNAY has written and performed with the likes of MckNasty, Wolfpack, DoomCannon and Sam Way. In 2022, ADANNAY was signed by indie record label Abubilla Music.

“Send For Me” is the first in a string of releases from this powerful new voice in the British music scene, ahead of ADANNAY’s new EP, due for release in 2024. Delving into their family history,  the cultural legacies of the Windrush generation, and the politics of being queer and Black in the UK today, this is their most ambitious and personal project to date

ADANNAY’s latest single is Misleading is the Medicine.
